The Rocky Mountain Animal Rescue Ranch is a pro-active 501c3 non-profit organization.
Here at the ranch we work hard every day to think of new programs and ideas to help keep pets out of shelters. Our programs are put into place after much thought and research has been conducted to make sure each program helps pets and in many cases their companion humans. We take the lives of both animals and humans very seriously and we try our best to accommodate all species with our programs.
We are more than just a dog and cat rescue. We will work to find homes for farm animals, domestic animals, wild caged animals and we will even do our best to help wild animals who have lost their parents or are injured. This takes many hours a day to make sure we are doing the best for the animal. Of course this takes money too and I hope you will find it in your heart to donate to the ranch to help keep us going. None of our staff or volunteers are paid. All the money goes to help the animals, feed the animals, vet bills and housing.
Our love for animals reaches out to help abused, unwanted or lost pets. We will do everything in our power and with our limited resources to help bring a happy ending to a sad story.
We work with other shelters and organizations to help find forever homes for animals that are in shelters.
Being a pro-active shelter means helping with spaying and neutering feral cat populations to keep their numbers from growing. It means helping low income seniors pay for food and sometimes vet bills so they don't have to give up their pets to a shelter. A pro-active approach can help keep many pets from going to shelters or from being put out on the streets. That's why we need your help.

The vision is one of every pet having a loving, safe home where the animal and the human understand and love each other.
Animals are full of love and only learn mistrust and fear if treated badly from humans. Here at the ranch one of our visions is to educate humans from the animal’s point of view. Animals view the world differently than humans and we need to understand what they see, think and how it affects them.
Animals look at life differently. They look at us as their caretakers and someone to love unconditionally. Not many humans understand this. Pets are not just a body without any feelings, emotions or love. All animals have feelings, emotions, wants, needs and love to give. We at the ranch know and understand this. We also know that wild animals and domestic animals react differently to different things and we want to educate people on this and other subjects about animals.
So part of this educational vision is to teach people how to communicate with their pets better and in their pet’s language. All animals communicate like humans do – through body language, sound, telepathy and pheromones (pheromones are chemical reactions in the form of smells that all animals, including humans put out in any situation). The key to understanding their communication is to first understand how their species communicates with each other and other species. Once you understand this, you can communicate with your pet on their level. If you would like to communicate better with your pet or take a class on animal communication, please use the contact information on this site and Shirley will get back to you shortly
We want the people affected by our efforts to notice real improvements.
