The Vision
Rocky Mountain Animal Rescue Ranch is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible.
The vision of the rescue ranch is a big one in today's economy and in the last two years we have been actively seeking donations, doing fund raising and looking for the right piece of land. In this economy, it's been tough to raise money or to buy land. So for now, we are shifting our vision somewhat to help where we can without our shelters or land.
The ranch is helping low-income seniors to feed their animal companions. We're helping our low-income seniors buy food for their companions in a time when money is beyond tight for them. This is why donations of $5 or more are so important right now. We're also helping families who feel they don't have the extra money for pet food and think their only option is to give the pet to a shelter. We feel this is proactive to keep many pets out of shelters until the economy is better.
The ranch is fostering some animals and trying to find other foster homes but we need funds to do this. People who open up their hearts and homes to fosters, not knowing if they will be adopted tomorrow or in a year, are very special people and deserve a helping hand for food and vet bills. If everyone just gave $5, we would help hundreds of pets.
Being pro-active is the way we are headed right now. That means helping with spaying and neutering feral cat communities to help keep their numbers from growing. It means helping low income seniors to pay for food and vet bills so they don't have to give up their pets to a shelter. A pro-active approach can help keep many pets from going to shelters or from being put out on the streets. That's why we need your help. Please go to our "Take Care of Me" page and see how you can help fund these programs while joining a program that will give you peace of mind if you can't come home to your pets. It's a win/win program for everyone!
The vision of the ranch to open shelters and care for abused and unwanted animals will never change but we will change with the changing times; that's what life is all about. We can't get stuck in a past vision when we are moving forward into the present. Please help us help other animals and make people feel good about keeping their pets out of a shelter or worse, on the street. Until there is more grant money and other help, the ranch is relying on people like you who will give $5 and know it's going to a great cause.
I thank you in advance for any and all donations!
Shirley Scott, Executive Director.
